Support4Ukraine from Ireland
Polish Teacher's Association, in coordination with Poland-based NGO "WOSP" (Eng: The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity), with an entity in Dublin, has organised Support4Ukraine initiative where we collect and transport donations from Ireland to Ukrainian people affected by the military conflict. Thanks to incredible volunteers from all over the world, we have sent 18 shipments and approximately 500 pallets of goods to Poland and Ukraine as of now.
The second initiative was sending five buses of Paddywagon full of goods to the refugee centre in Poland and on the way back to bring 240 refugees from that centre to Ireland and help them settle down here. This movement was done in close cooperation of DublinWOSP, Harriss Group and Paddywagon Tours.
The third initiative will be fundraising via GoFundMe and other channels to purchase medical equipment, food and other needed materials and send them directly to hospitals in Kyiv and Kharkiv with the initiative Bridge2Ukraine. All funds collected here will go towards purchasing goods.

The money raised at the Grand Finale collection - which in essence, is a grassroots, community-based event which have been taking place in Poland for 30 years. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity's objective is to purchase medical equipment for children's hospitals across the country and ensure that all children born in Poland have equal access to state-of-the-art medical treatment and diagnostics. The charity, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, has raised over 1.7 billion PLN and donated almost 69 000 medical devices to Polish public hospitals and clinics. The charity also runs and finances eight medical initiatives which systematically transform Polish medical care when it comes to neonatal health and children's medicine.
Each Grand Finale fundraiser has a clearly stated medical objective - a branch of medicine carefully selected after consultations with doctors and medical professionals. This year the charity raised money in aid of children's eye medicine.
